Hare Krishna Gokul Dham
The Hare Krishna Movement – India is happy to announce the recent proposal to receive a generous donation of 54 acres of land towards the bringing up of the Hare Krishna Gokul Dham theme project at Gorregattu Village, Munpalle Mandal, Telangana. This will be adjacent to, Sansaar, the proposed 1200-acre integrated township being constructed by Atriya Real Infra Pvt Ltd. A deep heartfelt thanks to Mr. Srinivasa Varma, The Chairman, Atriya Real Infra Pvt Ltd for this service to the Lord and Human-kind.
The new Mandir is not just another sacred edifice, but will depict the pastimes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna. This 54-acre project is intended to play a larger role in shaping the future of our society. This new temple, along with the goshala will not only house a place for the worship of Lord Krishna, but will also become a centre for disseminating the profound message of the Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam and other Vedic literature following the teachings of ISKCON’s founder Acharya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
Modern society is living in perpetual dissatisfaction and suffering due to lack of religion and universal values, typical symptoms of Kali-yuga, where some people want to enjoy God’s creation but leaving God aside. Our founder Acharya, Srila Prabhupada, wanted to establish spiritual embassies where everyone could find a respite from the material sufferings and a true meaning of what our life is all about.
People who associate with this temple will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the Vedic knowledge, participate in the cultural events, take advantage of classes, seminars and the association of senior devotees. We want people to come and learn some of the aspects of Krishna conscious philosophy and go back to their homes and workplaces to lead a more enlightened, a more enriched and a more sublime life.
Vision
To develop a sustainable community model. Hare Krishna Gokul Dham follows the values of Vedic culture, namely the importance of cows, land and knowledge. The Dham will adapt principles of permaculture, natural farming and earth blocks/ cob building promoting a simple and sustainable lifestyle centred on farming, cow care and Lord Krishna.
To depict the 12 forests of Vrindavan and educate the various divine pastimes of Lord Sri Krishna in these forests, through various themes and displays.
To educate people in the field of traditional sciences including Yoga, spirituality, Cow Protection & Ayurveda. Ecovillage will be a spiritual oasis that illustrates the principles of ‘Simple Living & High Thinking' - which is not just a principle but a way of life that has to be adapted in the current fast-moving world to connect with our roots again to experience not just happiness but sheer bliss. We believe in the concept of service and preserving our mother earth for a better living for all.
